About Alston-Beech Foundation

Extending the Ability to Improve the Community to Fellow Organizations

The Alston-Beech Foundation (ABF) was created to provide small program grants to local nonprofit organizations whose mission is compatible to that of the ABF. The grants provided will complement and foster other revitalization efforts that will ultimately improve the North Central Philadelphia community. Community reinvestment will make the difference between decay and growth; that is why it is essential for the foundation to provide funding opportunities to organizations that are providing needed programs or services to the area residents. Grant Information

The ABF was established in 2006, and was partly named after the founding president of Beech Interplex, Inc., Floyd W. Alston. The foundation recognizes his contribution as a humanitarian, as well as Beech's charitable involvement to the Cecil B. Moore community. Both Beech and Mr. Alston's vision of philanthropic giving has been paramount to the revitalization of the community and the foundation's mission will be consistent with the Beech Interplex philosophy of enhancing the urban environment.
